They were made in 2017, employing a program that was designed around neural style transfer (NST) algorithms, which in its infancy very often dealt with transferring the effects of a famous artwork (like say the Mona Lisa) using the brush stroke and shading etc of the famous artwork to the supplied photographic image. In my project, I took selfies and combined them with aesthetic effects of artists from history that I like, like Bridget Riley and David Hockney and contemporary artists I like (and happen to be friends with) including Wade Guyton and Tracey Emin.
