As its title states, this work brings together two iconic series by Jef Geys: Seed bag series and Bubble paintings series.
Jef Geys painted two seed packets a year, one large and one small, from 1962 till 2017.
The works part of The Bubble painting series must remain in bubble forever. They can never be unwrapped. Geys painted red, blue and yellow paint marks on the edges of the packaging packing tape around the work, to guarantee the seal. These marks are a notary’s version of painting.
